ASG in 2008 milestones and assignments

2008 was a landmark year for ASG in that the company experianced an exceptional growth in business, both in the diversity of services as well as its customer base.  Unlike many other aviation technical consultants, ASG were contracted to provide technical support to two major "flag carrier" airlines, which we believe is a reflection of the quality, adaptability and experiance of the ASG team.  2008 assignments included:

  • Technical inspection of aircraft and records of 11 Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft on lease with a North American airline on behalf of a consortium of leasing companies.
  • Project management and technical records acceptance of 14 Airbus A320 / A340 aircraft for a major Swiss Airline.
  • Pre-purchase analysis and inspection of 6 Boeing 747 aircraft for freight conversion on behalf of a financial institution.
  • Launching an Aircraft Maintenance Price Guide publication detailing maintenance costs and intervals for major aircraft types.
  • Mid-lease, pre-purchase and pre-delivery aircraft and records inspections on in excess of 70 aircraft including turboprops, regional jets, narrow and wide body aircraft.
  • On-going technical asset management services for a German leasing company, specialising in Embraer ERJ 145 and Saab 2000 aircraft.
  • Technical records preparation for the disposal of 3 Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
  • Maintenance check representation during heavy maintenance checks on numerous aircraft within the Gulf Air fleet.
  • Re-delivery and transfer of three Boeing 747-400 aircraft from a major South African operator.
  • Technical inspection of 2 Embraer 170 aircraft on lease with a North American Airline.
  • Monthly maintenance reservemanagement for an investment bank on 10 ATR-72 aircraft operating with an Indian based airline.
  • Delivery, transfer and ferry of an Embraer ERJ145 aircraft on behalf of a US NASCAR racing team.
  • Forefilling the role of Vice President Technical (Post Holder Maintenance) for a Middle-East airline on a temprary basis and the recruitment of a candidate to fill the position on a full time basis.
  • Re-delivery of 7 Airbus A320 family aircraft from a Turkish flag carrier airline.
  • Delivery of 2 B737-500 aircraft from a major European carrier to an African operator.

The largest aircraft portfolio transaction to be completed in a single event

ASG are pleased to announce the completion of 54 aircraft technical inspections performed to facilitate the transfer of aircraft operation from Swissair to Swiss Air Lines.


The portfolio of aircraft included: 13 Airbus A330, 8 Airbus A321, 12 Airbus A320, 7 Airbus A319, 14 McDonnell Douglas MD-11


The assignment required a comprehensive report, with photographs, to be compiled detailing the status and condition of each aircraft prior to transfer. In order to complete the assignment a physical condition survey of each aircraft was performed together with a review of the technical records. The task was completed on time in a nine week period.

   

Twenty Six Aircraft Fleet Evaluation

ASG are pleased to announce the completion of twenty six aircraft technical inspections performed to facilitate the evaluation of the Olympic Aviation and Olympic Airways fleet.

 


The portfolio of aircraft included: 2 Airbus A300-600, 7 Boeing 737-400, 7 ATR 72, 4 ATR 42, 6 Dornier Do.228

 

The assignment required a comprehensive report, with photographs, to be compiled detailing the status and condition of each aircraft prior to a detailed valuation being performed. In order to complete the assignment a physical condition survey of each aircraft was performed together with a review of the technical records.

   

Boeing 747-344 Lease Return and Delivery to New Owners

ASG are pleased to announce the completion of a 20 year old Boeing 747-344 lease return together with delivery of the aircraft to new owners

The assignment required technical representation on behalf of the aircraft owners throughout the period of the lease termination check together with a thorough audit of the aircraft technical records in order to ensure the aircraft complied with lease return conditions. In addition, various modifications to the aircraft were required including a complete passenger cabin re-configuration in order to ensure the aircraft met US FAA operating conditions and the new owners requirements. The task was completed on-schedule.

   

Twenty Four Aircraft Fleet Evaluation
